Welcome Cyril

During my studies at an engineering school and exchange program at Laval University in Quebec, I discovered the world of Data. Motivated by this, I pursued a specialised master's degree in data science. Immediately after graduation, I joined a Paris-based startup as a data analyst. There, I created dashboards for monitoring daily activities and developed algorithms to streamline operational teams' work. Seeking further growth, I transitioned to a role focused on data engineering. This allowed me to implement ETL/ELT structures for easy access to reliable, up-to-date data via dashboards. These experiences provided me with a holistic understanding of data, enabling me to effectively manage teams involved in data retrieval, processing, and interpretation.

From my perspective, a company aiming to develop its data department requires various skills such as DevOps, Data Engineering, Advanced Analytics, and Business Intelligence. That’s why I am very excited to work for Astrafy. Indeed, it is a company that offers multiple areas of expertise, enabling businesses to develop their data strategy.

The role of the Business Intelligence department is primarily to understand the needs, sometimes better than the requester. It is important to challenge the requests, ask the right questions, and gain a broader perspective to fully comprehend the underlying factors. Then, utilizing the appropriate BI tool tailored to the client's needs for data visualization.

On a more personal note, I am someone who enjoys learning new things. I love discovering new music, learning to play an instrument, reading, and travelling to explore different cultures. It is through these experiences that I continuously stimulate my curiosity, which I put to good use for Astrafy.
